I had one when I was pregnant with my son - at 27+6 - and it was an absolutely amazing experience. Here's a link to my thread which has some pictures https://babyandbump.momtastic.com/pregnancy-second-trimester/970011-my-4d-scan-28-weeks.html

I was so happy with them. They were so amazingly clear. The whole experience was amazing. That was at Baby Bond in Maidstone (or Ashford - I can never remember!). Today though, we still used Baby Bond but went to their new branch in Eltham and I was disappointed from the moment we got there. Our appointment was at 10am and we arrived 5 minutes early. When I got there, the receptionist wasn't exactly the happiest and friendliest of people.

When I looked at the packages, I'd looked and thought it worked out cheaper to go with the cheapest package and just pay extra for the DVD, but I obviously looked at the wrong thing so should have booked the next package up which was £139. But the woman said that as I'd booked the wrong package, she couldn't (or wouldn't - I'm not sure) change it so I would just have to pay the extra £25 for DVD which made my package £144. I know it's only £5 more than the next package up but that really annoyed me. I thought maybe she did this because they need to allow slightly more time if you book the 4d scan with DVD option but as it was, I didn't go in to have my scan until 15 minutes after my appointment time.

Then the screen looked pretty grainy to me. I thought maybe it was because it had been enlarged onto a bigger screen and that my DVD would be much clearer but it wasn't. I've attached some pictures. Don't get me wrong, they aren't bad by any means but just compared with last time, I'm really disappointed. And she only gave me a few pictures, whereas last time, she gave me loads! What do you think? I think I'm going to complain.

I had a very similar experience to u when I went for mines last week, the woman wasn't as good and baby was in a difficult position but I wasn't told to go for a walk at all, I complained and went back today and had the lady that scanned me last time with my daughter and couldn't see babys face but at least she tried and she was lovely. I felt very rushed last week. Last time I got to pick the colour pictures I wanted and last week she chose what one and the baby didn't look like a baby, and my dvd wasn't good at all this time either! I was upset as last time it had been an amazing experience! Ur pictures r so cute :)

They look great to me! You can see the little face at least!
I paid £119 and got to see mostly her arms.... Going back and probably wot be any different but still a lovely experience :)
Maybe call and tell them you're unhappy? It's a lot of money to pay and still not be happy :(

I understand where you are coming from regarding the photos. When I went for my private scan at 23/24 weeks, baby was not cooperating. He flashed his privates and then went on to hide his face by turning away and placing his arms in the way.. :dohh: An example is my avatar.

I dont think I will bother going back and getting another scan done, as Mr will more than likely protest and refuse to show his face again. The lady who did my scan was lovely and took a lot of time to try and get good photos.

I think it was probably just the fact that the receptionist had got my back up at the start and the whole atmosphere there was a lot more hostile than the Maidstone branch. There, they are always so friendly and lovely. And I think it's just that the DVD appears to be black and white (the images I've attached are screen shots from the DVD) whereas with my son, it was brighter and clearer. Oh well, I've emailed them with my concerns and so I guess I'll see what they say x

£144 is a hell of a lot of money to spend if you werent happy. I would complain and although 15 minutes to wait is by no means long, it is when you're paying private!

My mum had to take screen shots of the dvd cos the pics they gave us weren't that good I emailed them on sunday night and they phoned me back on monday to arrange another appointment. Its a hell of a lot of money to pay if ur not happy with it we were very disappointed last week... The woman just wanted us in and out wasn't personal at all! Hope they get back to u soon

I'll see if they contact me next week. I hope they do, although I think I'd feel a bit awkward going back there. I wonder if they do offer to re-scan, if they'll let me go to their other branch... x

We had one done at baby bond at 27 weeks, chose the cheapest package which was 139 I think. He gave us loads of black and white pics which he sat there and went through on screen so we could pick what we wanted also let us chose our fav one to go in colour in a frame thing. When your paying that much money they should be going out of their way to please you. Altho the pics you have out on are lovely, so cute. Hope they get back to you x

You should ask to go to another branch am sure they wouldn't mind, (again uve paid a lot of money, and I don't understand why the wouldn't change the package cos I asked if dvd was included n they said yes If u go with option two and I said yes, that was after my scan )they asked me if I didn't mind waiting untill another ultrasound tech was there to do it, which I was more than happy to do and we got the lady that I had before with my daughter n she was lovely. X
