@RebaRezzelba & @keepsmiling: ya i know that the size is not very significant and its the anthral follical number on that day thats significant. the CD3 scan is done along with blood tests to confirm the results of harmone levels which speak about the ovarian reserve (if i have not missed any piece of info). And thats why my post was in response and not an individual thread and I wanted to ask her if she also had blood test for hormones.
Its probably not possible to say what happens to these follicles exactly, but based on my database that I have acquired in the past 3.5 years of my unsuccessful journey of TTC, I guess follicles grow till one of them gets ovulated and the others die out after 'ovulation' in a healthy way. If my understanding is correct cysts in the ovaries (which results in PCOS) are the result of the grown follicles of the cycles when body (reproductive system) could not perform ovulation properly.
