Ah thanks love :)

Ooh I think I will add a gingerbread man to my bunting!

Have any of you got any specific instructions for the Orange garland?

Thanks in advance..... :)

Thank you!! I've been working on them for a while and I stopped being able to tell if it was any good or not, iykwim?

Yeah it's all felt, just stuffed and appliquéd.

Eta stargazer- as far as I know, you just thinly slice the fruits and then dry on a radiator or airing cupboard. Then I guess once they're prepared you can use them to decorate however you like. I've not done them before but that's what I'll be doing.

I've got so many ideas and not enough time

I really want to make some "merry Christmas" bunting. I want to get some of these https://www.craftshapes.co.uk/ to decorate with the kids. I want to make these garlands https://www.thegeneraltoystore.co.uk/gisela-graham-felt-ball-tree-decorations/prod_622.html. (loads of gorgeous stuff on that last link too!) and I really want to make the kids some personalised stockings!

That's in-between making dolls and dinosaurs for lots of friends kids! Should have started in January lol.

We are binning all our old decs this year and getting all new stuff. OH has already said the tree is his job this year (i agreed this last year but regretting it now ) but all the decs are my ideas. Think I'm going red and cream and no glittery tinsel or shiny baubles!

Redrose - that is lovely, really nice!

I've spent the afternoon eyeing up sewing machines :dohh: I've suddenly got very inspired! God knows what it will all turn out like though :haha:

I want to go crazy on Hobbycraft and amazon for materials and craft books etc :)! Haha. Think when payday is here on friday I'll be getting some bargins and try attempt to make something in time for Chistimas :)

Ohh now I want to start making things!!

With the orange slices, do they smell nice in the room or?

Does anyone know of good places to order fabric from? xxx

^ I got some nice fabric on ebay last year hun :) Was perfect for little decs coz people sell big bundles of scrap for really cheap :) xx

Thanks chick - have found a really good shop on ebay with all sorts of fabric

I attempted to make my own baubles- what a mistake and waste of money. Glass baubles, glue and glitter- what could have gone wrong.... just about everything. They looked like a 2 year old did them lol.

might attempt sewing this year instead xx

Share the love! :haha:

K so I gave it a go making a couple of things tonight.
I make this little puffy heart. Oh my God it's awful - my sewing skills leave a lot to be desired
It's not even funny how long this piece of shit took me to make.

However I did make a lovely 'knitted' stocking :)
I just need to wait for some parcels (that are hopefully arriving tomorrow) containing all the embellishments I've ordered, and I can decorate it :D It has made good use of a shitty old jumper anyways!

The stocking is really cool- bet it will look great once it's finished, but I can't lie, I did laugh at the heart  it was your description of it which made it funny though!

You should def get some felt, it's so easy to sew and doesn't fray.

Laugh away I hate it

Got some felt coming! I ordered some when I saw your decs :haha:

Ordered the Martha Stewart sewing guide, and will get some fabric ordered up tonight so I can start this weekend

I've finished the felt decorations, just need to make some loops on the back and thread through some green cord ready to be hung up and used as bunting.
