We received our husbands results and we are have to wait until Monday to talk to my doctor about them, but what I am wondering is if any of you have gone through the process so maybe I can get a heads up if his numbers are normal.

It analyzes the sperms shape, speed, and count. It goes further into specifics like ph value and how long it takes the sperm to liquify.

yup..add urs when u get chance ill add mine tomorrow im sooo tired right now lol

he has some that are no shaped right i think and the rest are good to go

Yes my hubby had his "men" looked at back in 2010.

His numbers came back low and slow… however by the time we received the results I was already pregnant. We were also told after the fact the he was suppose to abstain from sex for up to 7 days!!! Well needless to say the Dr never told him any of this (we had sex 4 times the night prior) and he went twice in the cup within 24hrs. Poor hubby :(

LOL

we got told by the RE and the lab to abstain for three days no more no less as it can F up the test..

that might have fudged the orginal results to ur hubbies test...as we can see his little men worked just fine :)

congrats

we gone thru this test and results were normal quantity was 4.8 and sperm count was some 175 mil so doctor said all normal

Not only have we gone through this but I'm one of the techs at the hospital that performs the testing! I can help you with all the numbers, morphologies, pH, volume, etc....

My hubbies was around 84 mil which is normal....

What were your results??

My dh had his last SA in june. His results were
Volume : 4.24ml
Motility : 14% rapid linear, 40% progressive
Morphology : 94% abnormal forms
Count: 26.25 million / ml
Total: 111.3 million.

His motility needs improvement but this sa was only 9 weeks after vasectomy reversal so pretty good ;)

Sorry it has been so long ladies, here are my DH results!
Volume: 4ml
Normal Value: 1.5-5.0ml

Count: 43.7 million/mL
>15 million/mL

Motility 50% Progressive
Normal: >40%

Progression 3 Grade 0-4
Normal >1

pH 8
Normal: 7.2-7.8

Viscosity 0 Grade 0-4
1-2 Scale 1-4

Round Cells 4-5
Normal < 3million/ mL

Debri Limited

Strict Morphology 11%
Normal >4%

Agglutination 1+

Anybody have any similar?

I think that looks pretty good regarding his results - if the normal are anything to go by!

I have been kind of freaking myself out about it all, I am just running in circles xD

I don't know what we will do then, I am on Clomid and they say I have been ovulating better than women that ovulate on their own, and if there is nothing wrong with hubby's sperm wth am I going to do?lol

Do you have ur dh on a fertility multivitamin? The only areas I think need improvement are motility and ph. A daily dose of vitamin c 1000mg will help improve motility greatly and helps with clumping ( agglutination).

He is on a daily vitamin, CoQ10, Zinc, and Fish Oil right now, the doctors said before that sometimes an antibiotic will help... so hopefully!

Update: Went to the doctor yesterday.
She didn't completely explain what his results meant, she just said that his levels were good and that the specialist said he was fertile as far as labs go. We are going to check and see if his emphysema would effect the results or not.
If I am not pregnant this cycle, dh is starting two antibiotics and I am going up in Clomid and not taking progesterone just to see if my progesterone levels are truly me ovulating well or if it was where I was taking prometrium.
After two months of trying that I will then go get an HSG, which they say usually allows women to get pregnant immediately, and then after that we will go through the iui process.

The most upsetting part is that they are basically telling us that there are no explainable reasons as to why we are not getting pregnant now :/
