Hate being a mum

I didnt bond with my son until he was 13 months old. Ive attached a link to my thread about it. It is my proudest thread on BnB, and was soooo nice to write. Like you say OP, it's important to open up and be honest. It also feels great when you get a shed load of responses from mums who can relate :)

Thats a lovely thread, made me cry a bit :)
I remember telling a friend that i didnt have that 'rush of love' and she looked at me like id kicked a puppy! Didnt tell anyone else after that.
Glad youre getting some help & hope you and your LO are ok x

When my son was born, I felt like the tiger at the zoo that rejected it and wanted to kill it. I honestly did. I remember thinking, "oh no, I don't want this thing, what's wrong with me!!?", and that feeling lasted for a good 4-6 months :(

And when I finally got the balls to tell two others (my mom and my friend who also had a traumatic birth), they got upset because they realized I had hid that - even though they too felt the same way and could have helped!
