HB went from 170 bpm at 8 wks to 150 bpm at 10 wks

Hi everyone,

I am so happy to finally be posting here. We went through over three years of trying to conceive, including miscarriage and IVF. I am 10 weeks and 2 days today. I had a big bleed at 6 weeks and 2 days, so they have been monitoring me with lots of ultrasounds. I am wondering about heartbeats. These are my results:

6 weeks, 3 days – 119 bpm
7 weeks, 0 days – 132 bpm
8 weeks, 0 days – 170 bpm
10 weeks, 0 days – 150 bpm

My questions is, is it okay that is went from 170 bpm at 8 weeks to only 150 bpm at 10 weeks. They didn’t seem very concerned, but I thought it wasn’t supposed to start dropping until after 10 weeks.

Mine was 178 at 8 weeks and only 120 at 12 weeks and I panicked but all is well!

Normal! Similar thing happened to me. 150 is still nice and high.
