HCG Levels

I have been so worried since i found out i was pregnant as i had a miscarriage last year. I have been getting some pains in my lower abdomen for about a week, so i was referred for an early scan. They couldn't see much as am only 6 weeks pregnant, they could only see a sack. They have taken my blood today and my HCG levels are 2500, is that normal for someone being 6 weeks pregnant? i have to wait until Friday to repeat the blood test to see if my HCG levels have increased. I am so scared, as i know if they drop or stay the same its bad news. Please can somebody give me some advice? Thank you

I would say your are probably not 6 weeks. A sac is normally present at around 5 weeks and your hcg levels match that. They do vary a lot. But at 6 weeks which is 4 weeks from conception and not 6 weeks from LMP a baby and sometimes heartbeat is present. At this early stage it can change over night. It is very common for people to be certain of ovulation and still be out by a few days.
