Hi ladies! Here I am, cautiously optimistic after a MC at 7+ weeks (6 week sac), on Nov 16. We are very fortunate, that we conceived in the first cycle last time, and before I even had a period this time. My body has no problem getting pregnant. I'm just hoping it stays pregnant this time.

Anyway, I got a BFP on Monday evening on an IC. I had blood drawn Tuesday afternoon. HCG was only 30, which seems about right for when I was thinking I ovulated based on EWCM. 48 hrs later my numbers had tripled! I'm not sure what they were exactly. The receptionist could only tell me they had tripled because the doctor had not made notes on the results yet, but I thought tripling sounded great. Has anyone else experienced such a fast rise in hcg? I read on an old thread somewhere else that it can rise quickly after a loss. Last time I didn't have blood draws, but my lines progressed more slowly than they are progressing this time around. Hoping this means a sticky baby.

Congrats! That's a great start!

Hcg rises very rapidly early on, then slows as the levels get higher. So generally:

<1200 : 72 hours or less
1200-6000 : 72-96 hours
>6000 : 96+ hours

There's a pretty wide range though of normal. But always a good sign early on when there's a rapid rise. :)

LacePrincess - what are you basing those times off of? DPO? I was avoiding HcG checks, but maybe I'll try just one... ;)

Theiska - I'd say that's a great sign!! Baby sounds like they're doing beautifully.
