A bit of background for those of you who don't know:

My husband and I have been ttc'ing since March/April 2008 and haven't had the best of luck! We conceived in July 2009, but found out at 10.3 weeks that we had an empty sac, and then conceived again in November 2009 but lost our angel in January 2010.

After this loss we were sent for a boat load of blood tests and an ultrasound as well as an internal exam to see if we could find out the reason of our struggle to conceive as well as why we weren't able to carry a child.

After completing all the blood tests as well as the ultrasound and exam. I today had an appointment with a gynecologist (referral from GP) to find out more information and results.

Here is what we were told:
Results:
1. Blood tests showed nothing wrong. (liver, kidney, and blood sugar levels)
2. Ultrasound: I have a "heart shaped uterus" and according to the doctor, it is very uncommon - lucky me! ... not
3. Ovaries are functioning properly
4. I have ovum, so can reproduce
5. They believe this is all happening due to an under-active thyroid

Due to all the above reasons lol they are sending me to an endocrinologist who will be able to give me more tests and my husband will be tested as well so we will know more, as to whether we can have a family etc...

I guess what my questions are:

1. Is there anyone here who has a heart shaped uterus, or knows of someone who does, that has gone on to have a healthy full term pregnancy?

2. Is there anyone who has an under-active thyroid, or knows of someone who does, that has gone on to have a healthy full term pregnancy?

3. Seeing an endocrinologist is something I haven't done, or heard of before, so I am just wondering what to expect. I was told the tests they provide will give me and my husband much more detail as to what is wrong, and what can be done, but that is all.

4. Is there anything I can do, now knowing my conditions, to help with fertility and conception to naturally help us conceive?

I am sure I will think of more questions, but for now this is all.

Thank you ladies in advance, any help or advice is very appreciated!

Sarah xx :hugs:
