Hello - also new :)

Hi all

found b&b a few weeks ago, but only just joined today.

I'm currently 11 and a bit weeks gone with my 2nd - my 1st is almost 11 now - so a much bigger gap than I would have like really!!!

I had wanted another one for years when 1st was small, but nothing happened. I was pretty much told I'd have to see a specialist for anything to happen. But then out of the blue - bango I'm preggo!! And after a few weeks of struggles with sickness, tiredness and just general overwhelmed-ness (word?), I'm finally looking forward to it - if all goes well. Nice to meet you all

heya and welcome to the site, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!! by the way lol,
oh and by the way if you could would you of had your 2nd child a closer age to your first? just that i have a baby 7month but i would love a 2nd one but im not sure whether to have them around the same age as eachother or to have a big gap in between them. x

SohpieHardy I personally would have had my 2nd a lot closer to my first, two to three years apart would have been perfect for me - issue now is for me, I feel like a few years ago I was in the frame of mind, but when they hit 9 or 10 you have to start adjusting to the fact that they are much more independent, so it's a different type of parenting. Also she's basically been an only child, which meant there was no-one there to play with or do things with, so sometimes she's got really lonely. Plus with the gap, that's 29 years of being a parent to a dependent child!!!

But the plus side to it is part of the negative, in that my daughter doesn't need me as much anymore, so it will be nice to start again with a little'un. I suppose my age factors in - if I had been this age when I had my first (28) and 11 year gap would be a very different thing indeed!
