Hello - Can I join you, I've come from 1st Tri

Hi everyone,

I had to have a D&C for a missed miscarriage on 7th Jan and I'm absolutely devastated. I found out my baby had died at 8 weeks during my 12 week scan. Unfortunately it was diagnosed as a partial molar pregnancy so I am now under observation at the specialist centre at Sheffield hospital.

I'm led to believe I have to wait at least 6 months before I can try again so I'm back to square one.

If any of you ladies are in a similar situation where you have an enforced waiting period I'd be glad to know how you get through the time so it doesn't drag.

It sounds like you've been through an terrible ordeal I'm not in the same position but I'm sure someone will be along soon who can support you better than I! As someone said the ladies in here are awesome and we're all here for different reasons so you won't feel excluded. Good luck for when you are ready to leave us for TTC again!

to be honest I haven't coped very well most of last year I was very emotional, I now have 3 weeks to go before I come off the pill and its driving me insane - I am very busy at work which is helping the time go a bit quicker.

Finding things to do to keep your mind off things a bit helps - (but I still think about it all the time anyway !!!)

So sorry to hear your news, it must be a very difficult time. Really hope the next six months sails past for you & your next pregnancy goes well. TBH a lot of us here are under an "enforced waiting period" for one reason or another - mine is my OH not being ready. Its difficult but im trying to focus on other things & look to the future when we will be having kids. Time flies by so quickly, it'll be here before i know it.xx

Hi, i also went for a 12 week scan only to be told baby had stopped growing at 8 weeks. Had a D&C on 19th January. Because my husband is in the armed forces we're restricted by when we can TTC again because he has to go away from home for months at a time so either we try right away without waiting for my period (before OH goes away) or we have to wait til July so it'll be 6 months for me too. It's driving me insane that i have no choice but to wait and i'm so consumed with TTC so if you want to talk about it, i'm here. x

Thanks everyone. I wasn't sure what to expect coming over here from 1st Tri but everyone on the whole of this forum is so lovely.

I'm back at work now so hopefully the time will start to go by quickly. It felt a bit strange going back knowing that I'd been through such a terrible time but none of them knew (and won't know) except my boss.

I hope the time passes for all of you too for whatever your reasons. I was only pregnant for a short time and aside from the sickness and tiredness it was lovely. :0(

I'm so sorry to hear that, it really is an awful feeling and nothing anyone can say helps. I'm hoping that time is a healer and that the people around me can keep me strong. I hope you manage to conceive quickly when you are able, I'm clinging onto the fact that we conceived in the first month of trying and I wish you the same.

hay yeh we were told that we ahd to wait 3months after i had an ectopic in september it was weird cause i had other things on my mind it whet really quickly but now i have to wait another 3months so if you need a chat then feel free to pm me! sorry for your loss xx i know its hard!

i've just come from 1st trimester as well. i had a missed miscarriage yesterday. and the doc says i need to wait until i have two normal periods before i can start trying again as well. I think i could use the break though. it took us 9 months to conceive this time around. i just hope that it happens faster for us when we can try again. i hope the time goes by faster than it sounds though. i really want this baby, and i'm ready to start waiting nine months for it to be here. instead of waiting and waiting before i even conceive.
