Helmets on babies?

Hello girls- I was wondering if anyone could tell me about this. Sometimes when I'm out in public I see small children with tiny baby helmets on. I was just wondering if anyone knew why they might be wearing them? Thanks!

I think it has to do the the development of the head. I had a boss once that his wife had twins. One of the twins had rested on the other twins head so it was out of shape a bit. So they had a special helmit for her so that as the soft skull finished developing and moving as she grew, It would shape correctly.

My boss had two girls and let me say they decorated the helmet so cute put stickers and all kinds of cute things on it She really only had to wear it for about a year

Its somthing to do with flat head, two children at my play group has them and carly kept touching it so i went up to the mum to laugh about it and ask what it was for.

My son Jacob may have needed one, I know a lot of premature babies wear them later?
