help can't decide whether to find out

With DS I was adament I didn't want to know and didn't get a 20w scan so no opportunity.

But this time I am soooo tempted to find out and will get a 20w scan. I think I will still resist though as the surprise as you meet your baby for the first time is wonderful.

Besides I am convinced this is another boy anyway

We are going to find out. I would say the majority of people who have asked me if we are going to find out have said they wouldnt find out but it's a very personal decision and I think it helps with preperation. Plus I cant wait to see if I am having a daughter or son!

I am not going to find out as I want the suprise after the labour!And think it will be really special! I am quite suprised at myself for making this decision as I don't normally like suprises and I am very impatient. OH really doesn't want us to find out neither does my mum and his family (not that, that would have changed my decision). I have been buying all neutral stuff and you can get some really cute bits, and like my mum has pointed out you do not need to buy a great amount of stuff as when he/she is born friends and family will buy you pink/blue stuff!
Saying that I do understand why people find out before xx

why don't you get the sonographer to write it down for you, seal it in an envelope and take it home? you could always give it to someone who you don't live with (family member, etc) so if it drives you nuts then you could find out.

on the other hand, i'm finding out and i don't think it will ruin the surprise. so i may know it's a girl or a boy, but i won't have met them, i won't have smelt them or seen them or heard them or felt their warmth. nope, there are still an earth of surprises to come! finding out the gender is just one on the road to parenthood!! xxxx
