Ok so I guess I didn't want to admit it but LO has colic im now sure of it....
fists clenched
crying every 5 minutes unless in a deep sleep
knees go up to her chest
this is colic isn't it?

have sent OH out to get the aptamil comfort milk only was just wondering what I do with this milk when I go out as it doesn't come in ready made cartons.... do i make up bottles before and just re heat them ??

:hugs: Sounds like colic I'm afraid hon, horrible isn't it?

What I would personally do would be to take a little container of powder out,you can get special milk dispensers and take out your bottles with boiled water already in.That way you can make up the bottles when you're out without having to worry if the milk has been made up too long and if its still ok to use.
xxxx

aww no its awful , dont splash out on colief ! it wrks aswell as gripewater(putin the bottle if they wont drink it)
if it gets really bad ur gp shud prescribe baby gaviscon(sp?), my neece got it, i cant recommend other advise other than it does pass:hugs:

I use milk despenser & flask with warm water.

Did u try infacol?

Yes tried infacol..... uped the doses too two dropper fulls and started her on the cow and gate comfort milk seeing the health visitor on tuesday so hopefully they will advise me on what else to do.... x

dont use baby gaviscon - thats for reflux

I really feel for you hun, it snot nice... Fin really suffered with colic, but has grown out of it a lot, still the occasional bit but completely copeable...

you can try dentinox colic drops its £3 from boots, Colief you should be able to get on prescription if that doesnt work...
i tried them all, colief was the only one that worked for me but its different for every baby - i only put it in 2 feeds around tea time as thats when he has issues now

have a look on youtube at the massages you can do to help your LO

you can get colief from the doctors on perscription if you ask, its not something that is broadcast on the NHS as it is expensive, I think someone told me its about £10 a box... and the box is tiny!! Though you only need a few drops per bottle

HTH :flower:

Have you tried Dr Browns bottles? They can be expensive, but there are some good deals online - lots of mums have had their sanity saved by them!

Is your LO having any problems pooing? The reason I ask is that my LO had some colicky symptoms, and we pinpointed it to trapped wind and constipation. If you think it could be that you could also try offering some cool boiled water. As with most things, it takes a few days to make much difference.

It's up to you how to do the bottles when you go out. I don't like making them up with cold water, so I make them up, refridgerate and have a little cool bag to put them in. At this time of year they stay pretty cold while I'm outside anyway, and if I'm going to someones house I stick them in their fridge! The other option is to have a flask and a milk container (like the ones with 3 compartments) and make them up while you're out.
