HELP! Im bridezilla!!

Hi ladies...well...I am officially bridezilla!!

Our wedding colour theme is fuschia pinka and black and I was talking to OH earlier and asked what suit he wanted (I new the answer i wanted!)
He said,,,,,black suit with white shirt and black tie.......NO WAY!!!!!! FUNERAL???

I burst out "i dont think so!! Black top hat and tails with shirt and pink cravat!"

He said "i dont want to wear a cravat"


So i turned into bridezilla!!!

"You ARE wearing a cravat whether you like it or not!" This carried on and now OH is sitting her pulling a face saying he never gets to be involved!

Am I being unreasonable to want a matching suit????

lol, sorry, but the picture of your OH sitting there with a sulk on made me giggle!!

I dont think you are being too unreasonable, but maybe the two of you could meet in the middle?! what if he wore a fuschia tie rather than cravat? I know it wouldnt look as good, but it will look a million times better than his original idea (because yes, that reminded me of funeral atire) Or maybe a fuschia shirt?!

You know what style you are going for, but sounds like on this you need to meet somewhere in the middle

PS - I dont think you are bridezilla for it though

I agree with aly. Perhaps meet in the middle & let him wear a tie.

Failing that tell him he WILL wear the cravat.. But he can take it off once the photo's have been taken

humm, personally i really hate cravats. I love the idea of a classic suit that wont date at all. I've asked my OH to wear a black suit with a white shirt and white tie which looks amazing, but at the end of the day- he hasnt given you guidelines on what dress to buy... its his day too, let him have his moment also!! xxxxx

Ha ha. I think I am a bridezilla b/c I completely told OH the colors he and his guys were gonna wear. I told him mix it how he wants but I better see all these colors.

I went with hubby to try on loads of styles at the suit shop so he could see what he actually looked like in it.

He chose what he wanted to wear though - after all, he didn't get to choose my dress.
I think you have to remember that it is his wedding too.

(BTW - my hubby was in black and white - no splash of colour - and he definatly did not look like he was going to a funeral)

If he insists on wearing black and white, you could get him to put a fuschia 'hanky' (cant remember what they are actually called ) in his top pocket, that way he will fit in with the rest of the colour scheme but still be wearing what he wants

I agree with binxyboo. Why dont you both spend a day trying on suits so that he can get an idea of what each style/option looks like? How does he know he wont like a cravat until he sees himself in one?! xx

I think its only fair that he gets some input in to his outfit since he doesnt get any in to youra. He has to be comfortable on the day as well, and Im sure you can come to a compromise if you two go out suit shopping together. Then he will feel more involved xxx

I had this colour scheme, my hubby wore black suit with ivory waistcoat and pink cravat...he had no choice in the matter LOL!! Nah I'm joking, he did have a say and he agreed that it would look ok in the end!
