Hey Ladies, I am so new to this and was wondering if I could get some input on how many bottles I should purchase say for a 24 hour period? Also I have been looking at the bottle steralizers but is this really needed? I am so lost lol. One last thing. Any input on the best formulas to use would be appreciated.

Depends on how often you're wanting to wash bottles/sterilise etc.

My cold-water steriliser fits 3 bottles in comfortably... I've found 6 bottles works well for us - three in the steriliser, three either on the draining board clean and ready to go into the steriliser as the "done" ones get taken out and used, or in the bowl ready to be washed up - meant I only needed to do a bottle washing session a couple of times a day in the early stages, once a day in the later stages (although in reality still more like twice)... that's just what works for us.

In an ideal world I'd have enough bottles to be able to leave them in the dishwasher till we run that - but as we don't run that every day anyway - it's not feasible for us.

Hey there. 6-8 bottles is usually sufficient, but your baby may want more than 8 bottles in 24 hours in the very early days, as they feed little and often.

As you are in Canada and Im in the UK I cannot help with the formula brand question. Also in the UK the guidelines are to sterilize bottles until your baby stops using formula, but Im not sure of the guidelines where you are. xxx

I find 6 bottles works best for us! Our bottle steriliser fits 6 bottles also.

We use Tommee Tippee bottles & I have to say the bottle steriliser is so handy to have, just makes life so much easier!

i had 6 to start with, i used Enfamil A+. but she has a milk protein allergy so we have to use the hypoallergenic one
