Help Possible Yeast Infection???

Ok Ladies,
I think I may have a yeast infection and I want to know if it is ok to use the over the counter stuff such as Monistat? I am not 100% sure it is one all I know is that it itches and is uncomfortable. I do not have the fowl smelling discharge or cottage cheese like discharge with this one. All I have is this dry itchy feeling on the outside. Any ideas or help would be great. Thanks in advance!!!

Yes, you can use Monistat. I was prescribed it today by my OB actually.

I would definitely see your doctor though, just to be sure. In my case, I have both a yeast infection and bacterial vaginosis. I have had little to no discharge. The BV can be very bad for pregnancy if left untreated. Please get checked out. Good luck!

You could just have an external yeast infection and not an internal one. My OB only recommends monistat 7, no 3 or 1. You can try it on the outside for relief.

I would see your doctor. I wouldn't get anything over the counter without discussing it with them too.

I thought I must of had a UTI or yeast infection but I was tested 3 times for it all and nothing came up. I was told that the irritation was from increased cervical mucas from being pregnant :S 13 more weeks of this :S

Thankfully it's gotten a bit better and more bearable.
