Hi I have 1 child who is 20mths and was so lucky 2 fall preg with him 1st mth. The prob is now trying 4 baby no 2 4 6mths now n had 3 chemical pregnancys but jus realised my luteal phase is only 9-10 days. I am cd 24 of 31day cycle. I started myself on 50 mg of b6 a few days ago 2 c if it helps, I also rang my doc 2 c if I could be tested 7 dpo 2 c 4 sure but as I'm being referred because of my chemical pregnacys he won't do anything at all :-(. He said I prob won't be seen 4 a few mths so my question is has any1 fell preg with a short luteal phase and if so how many days is ur luteal phase. Thank u all very much, I love this site x

Didn't want to read and run, but I was interested in your answers, as my last cycle only had a 9-10day luteal phase...GL.

Im sure i read that 9-10 was still considered normal, dont quote me on that though.
FX for you both xx

When I was looking this up yesterday, I found This thread helpful... lots of women posted who had short luteal phases, and by the time I'd looked it up, several of them had fallen pregnant.

Fxed for your BFP too!

I highly recommend drying vitex (chaste tree). It's a supplement that helps raise your progesterone level to extend your luteal phase. 9-10 days is not normal..... your luteal phase needs to be at least 12 days to sustain a pregnancy, almost always. Last cycle my luteal phase was 4 days and after taking vitex I am now 18dpo with my next cycle (a whole different set of problems, lol!).

I took B6 last cycle. I took 100mg. I ended up OV early....which made my luteal phase jump from 8 days to 16 dasy! And i got my BFP that same month...bets of luck

I never took a vitamin b supplement or anything but my luteal phase after quitting the pill was really short at first. I started taking prenatals (which do have some Vitamin B in them) and it went up to 11 or 12 days or so. I would suggest prenatals regardless of whether or not they are what helped my LP out; they gear your body for pregnancy and help you get a good level of folic acid before falling pregnant. Hope this helps :)

My luteal phase was 10 or 11 days when I conceived Leilah.

Now that I am ttc again I noticed it was only 8 or 9 days and my doctor told me that it was too short and prescribed clomid to help lengthen it.

I took vit b6 last cycle though (100g) and it lengthened it to 11 day so I am hopefully that soon I will get my bfp :)

Hi, i had a 10 day luteal phase and increased it to 11 days by taking b6. i fell pregnant and gave birth to harry in february. I also tried the Vitex but i dont think that worked for me. Keep trying the b6 x
