on saturday i grabbed a bottle of milk and opened it this morning and gave my daughter breakfast, she is 14 months old and then i poured some onto my cereal, my cereal did not taste good so i checked the milk and it had gone off the day before. I should of checked the date but i had only just bought it so presumed it would have more than a days shelf life!

The milk smelt discusting. Is there a good chance we will get sick, I wander if they had stored the milk correctly in the first place to smell that gross unopened 24 hours past its use by date.

Any body ever done this?

From what I understand, I think sour milk is one of those things that tastes disgusting and could make you feel sick just from the taste, but actually is less likely to make you properly ill. I couldn't quote any sources to confirm that but I've not been too concerned on the couple of occasions that one of my kids has accidentally drunk sour milk and they've never been sick from it.
