Hi everyone,

I'm one of those girls that reads too much and only causes myself concern to a point. I need some advice or thoughts on High HCG levels. My levels on 19DPO was 883, 24DPO was 3627, and today 27DPO it is 20881.

Here is my concern. I am 35, have a history of 7 miscarriages and last May we lost a baby at 20weeks. So to say the least I am "high-risk". The good news is I REALLY feel pregnant. Hungry, bloated, sore chest, tired, frequent potty brakes. We did see a sac on 24DPO but really couldn't see anything "postive" as a little one. We have no twins in our families. So I'm killing myself and reading up on high HCG levels and I saw that it could be a Molar Pregnancy.

Has anyone ever been in my situation with HCG levels rising more rapid then normal? What was the outcome? Doctor is wonderful but says we can only take this day by day :nope:

Thoughts?

HCG doubles every two days... Try not to woory sweety :hugs:

Your numbers are going up a bit fast, but tbh that could be perfectly normal. I would wait a bit and wait for either more bloods, or another scan. I know how scared you must be!! I am thinking of you and fingers crossed for a happy and healthy 9 months!!

Mine doubled every 29 hrs at first. Don't worry!

Im in a similar position to you, 35 with history or recurrent m/c so this pregnancy my specialist is trialing me on progesterone and was initially checking my hcg regularly anyway my hcg was doubling every 26 hours to start with, at 19dpo it was 3199! It then slowed down to about 40 hours then by 6ish weeks it was 90 hours and around 92,000. I was same as you and panicked, did the googling thing etc....i had a scan at 8 weeks and just 1 healthy bean in there! Apparently the old wives tale is that high hcg in early pregnancy indicates a girl!!! So we will see!!! try not to worry, all is looking good hun xxx

It all sounds great to me. I think molar pregnancy has massively high levels, where as yours are still within the normal range. 24dpo is a little early to see anything more than a sac anyway. Twins don't have to run in families. In fact identical twins are a chance event and family history is irrelevant. However, you are most likely just having the one with nice healthy hcg levels!
Really hope this one is your lucky one and sorry to hear of all you have been through up to now. Fingers crossed for you!

Once something can be seen on a scan checking hcg is considered irrelevant. Try and get another scan to see how many are in there. Since you are high risk, they should be able to accommodate you (I'm also a recurrent miscarrier and I get scanned weekly by my lovely doctor).
