Hi everyone!

This is my first post - I have been a lurked for a few weeks now.


Basically I am pregnant again after having a miscarriage at five weeks in June. I got pregnant again straight away without having a period so don't have any concrete dates to go by. I THINK I'm about 8 weeks. I'm going for my first scan on tuesday and I am sooo worried about it. I've basically got it in my head that they're going to tell me there's no heartbeat or something. I really want this baby and have joined so that I can talk things through with people and get help and advice from you guys who I'm sure know a lot more than me.

I'm Laura, I'm 19 and I'm absolutely brilliant thank you though a little hungry. My 13 month old madam is tucked up in bed, my little one inside me is fidgiting, and I'm about to watch a film with OH.

I do not know how I'm going to wait until Tuesday to find out if everythings okay!

I'm great thanks just really apprehensive about the next few months. When are you due?how did you tell your family when you were pregnant the first time if you don't mind me asking?

Yeah it's definately a nervous time. I remember worrying continuously all through the first trimester for both this one and my little girl, then after that I relax a little. FX'd for you everything will be okay

I''m due 22nd January (2011 obvs lol) Um first time around I was dead nervous, but me and my OH had already long moved out of home. OH's family were easy, we just told them in the car going shopping and OH was just going 'mum.. you know you're old...' over and over, until I just blurted it out lol. They were supportive. My mum was my worry, but I phoned her and said we needed to talk and went round to her house when she was on a lunch break from work. Sat her down and told her that I was pregnant. She really wasn't happy and it took her a while to come around. Now she adores her granddaughter of course The second time was tough too, I ended up leaving her a letter because I couldn't face how bad it was last time, and I would have had to have my daughter with me, and didn't want her in that situation. Mum wasn't supportive again, but she didn't go crazy like last time. Everyone else took a little while to come around to the first pregnancy (my little girl), this time around i think everyone was expecting it.

I'd definately advise face to face about telling family. Of if you really can't face it. Right a letter but try and be in the room.

Aw hun I had a MMC in June so can understand how you feel about your next scan, if we manage to get pregnant again I don't know how I'll be able to wait from the day I get a positive test lol

Hi hun,

Welcome to bnb. So sorry for your loss before but really hope everything is okay with this little one.
I was so worried before my first scan that they would tell me there was nothing there and i've not miscarried before so i can't imagine how you must feel! Good luck hun.

I'm Beth, 19, 20 weeks with my first...got my antomy scan next week =)

So it's a week after my first scan and I found out it was 9 weeks 5 days which now makes me 10 weeks 5 days It was so great seeing bubs on the screen and the little heart beating away but now a week after the scan I am back to being really anxious and worried about how the baby is doing. I don't have another scan now until the 22nd of September which seems soooooo long away! I really don't know if I can wait that long to see that everything is all right. Did everyone else worry pretty much the whole way through their first tri or is it just me?
