Do they sell Hipp Combiotic formula in the U.S? From my google search it looks like they don't...

My LO only drinks ready to feed, she rejected the powder. That makes it a little tricky to pack enough for a two to three week trip.

So I guess my options are to switch brands now, permanantly, or just hope to find something that works for her when we get there. What would you do?

If relevant, the only brand we have here that is also in the U.S (I think) is NAN by Nestle....

Heya. Could you give the Hipp (or other UK brand) powder formula another try? This way you would be able to take enough formula with you to last the trip without having to resort to using US formula. xxx

Wss!
Don't know when you're planning to go but could you wean lo onto powder? Like start with mixing half powder and topping up with ready mix, then slowly making with more and more powder.

We took the little cartons of formula for my DS when we went away for 10 days. I cant remember what it weighed now but if LO gets a luggage allowance perhaps you could use it for her milk to save messing about. It will also make it easier for you on days out while you are there.

Two things
1. Whats wrong with US formula. It comes in ready to feed as well. Although saying that I completely understand about not wanting to switch formula that your baby is doing well on.
2. If you are going to be staying with friends or visiting family could you mail some formula a couple of weeks ahead of time to your destination. then you wouldn't have to pack it in your suitcase.

Heya :)

There is nothing at all wrong with US formula :) . I just thought that it would be a good idea to stick to a type of formula that is readily available in the UK rather than switching brands for a few weeks as this may upset baby's tummy (the changing not the US formula) and the last thing you want on holiday is a miserable baby. Also by switching to powder the OP would also save money :) xxx

Nothing is wrong with US formula. (Well, at least, I don't think so. Is there? I wouldn't know. :) ) But as you might have noticed one of my questions is "whether or not I should just try something new while I am there. I am pretty new to formula feeding. I don't know these things!

Unfortunately, the mailing suggestion won't work. It would be cheaper to just pay the fee for a separate bag just for formula.

Skunkpixie, thanks for the suggestion. It probably should have occured to me to mix powdered and ready to feed, but it didn't! I will give that a try and see how that goes. I have a whole unused box in the pantry, and I do hate to waste it.

ke29-thanks! I forgot they often give babies their own luggage allowance. I will look into your idea as well!
