is it as good as people say??? lb currently on c&g and ony poos every 4 days which is causing him a lot of distress so am thinking of swapping to hipp as have heard good things about it but wanted others opinions (good or bad)

Ds loves his hipp. And Dd never got on with cow and gate.

If your lo is struggling and you're worried there is no harm in trying. Generally babies tend to find it easier than other formulas (ds was on so many until he got reflux drugs so he can attest to that) but your lo could just as easily get on better with sma.

If your gut says try it, then go for it.

Hipp is the only formula LO doesn't get constipated with.

DD3 has Hipp and she loves it. Poos 2 times a day usually. xxx

ITS MAGIC MILK! lol I tried cow and gate, Aptamil and SMA for my lil guy and they all constipated him and gave him serious wind.. was only pooing once every 3 days which resulted in screaming fits as he was so sore and his tummy was solid. Switched onto Hipp combiotic... and TADA .... much happier baby who poops every day!

Iv had to give him SMA yesterday, today and tomorrow as iv ran out of HIPP and my order isnt coming till tuesday and hes back to being unhappy and no sign of our daily poop. Cant wait for his milk to come!!! I would recommend HIPP to anybody xx

We actually switched to Hipp from Cow and Gate (I wanted to put her on Hipp from the beginning but our local Tesco didn't have it) and it actually seems to be causing my daughter all sorts of tummy issues. We did it slowly over about a week, but as soon as she was on mostly Hipp she developed terrible acid reflux (like gagging and choking on it after every feed) and wind. It was awful! I felt so bad for her because I've never heard her cry like that before. :nope: It's weird because everyone says Hipp is so much more gentle on the tummy, but maybe she's just strange. I'm doing an experiment at the moment to see if it really was the Hipp and putting her back on 100% Cow and Gate for a day to see if it clears up. So far she's had 4 non-Hipp feeds and is content and sleeping for hours after she eats with little sign of reflux. The overnight tonight will be the real test because that's when it's been the worst. I'm a bit bummed though because I really wanted to use something organic if we had to have her on formula, so I'd love to be able to have her on Hipp. Did anyone else have a rough transition to it and it got better eventually?
