Hello ladies

I am breastfeeding but am going to introduce a night time bottle. Can you please help me with my dilemma - whether to go down the organic route or to try Aptimal which is supposedly the closest to breast milk.

I don't wish to express and am following the same route as I did with my daughter in which I intend to switch to bottles by 4 months.

I formula fed her on Hipp Organic but since I have learnt about Aptimal and wonder what other like minded Mums find is best.

Thanks in advance X

i switched from bf to aptimal and had no proiblems. didnt do it slowly either.

I used Hipp Organic in her cereal and she got on fine with it. Other benefit (I think as I haven't bought the new box) is that it comes in a box with two sealed bags so you don't have to worry about using a huge tub within 28 days - a bit of a money saver!

Friends of ours raved how much more content their baby was on Hipp Organic than Aptimil but I think you just need to try both (maybe use those single sized pre made cartons?) and see which one suits your baby best? x

We went straigh from EBM to Aptimal with no problems. If you plan to use powder, trying cartons might not work as I know some babies will have one but not the other (never bothered Imi but shes a gannet :D) x

I'm not going to be much use here, but I would recommend buying a couple of cartons of each of the milks that are suitable for your baby's age, and trying them.

Everyone told me how much aptamil was more like breastmilk than any other, and I've tried stage 1, stage 2 and stage 3 with no success at all, same with hipp organic and sma, and the only one my baby will take is Cow and Gate follow on.
Weirdly, that's the milk I used with my other 2 babies when they got to 6 months, so I think in my case, C&G seems to be closest to MY breastmilk :) !

Every baby is different though, and you might not have any problems!

i hadnt tried hipp organic, ive only tried aptimal and my lo wont touch the stuff. I was also thinking about introducing a night time feed, so i might try hipp organic see how it goes. Ive tried 3 brands in total and he doesnt want any of it! x
