Holding Doors Open

For the record, "chiverliverlous" (hope I'm close with that) IS the cutest freakin' thing ever! :) And I hope my boys grow up to be knights in shining armour to all, as well. Because they have been taught to look around them and smile at the people walking by, help those who ask for it, and look how they might be of help or service to those who can't ask. It's a complicated thing to teach, but I would certainly be teaching it to my daughter as well, should I ever have one. I think that is what feminism means now - not the death of chivalry, but the return to its original true meaning. Justice and equality for all, not based on gender differences.

I must have not got the memo regarding women not opening a door! I've always opened doors for people (& yes I'm the type that shout 'you're welcome' when they don't say thank you.

I wait my turn for a lift. If I can see that I won't fit in with pushchair, I let people go ahead & I'll get the next one.

Just because you're a woman doesn't mean you don't have manners:shrug:
