Hi,

Wonder if anyone can help me.....I really want to get a little weekend job (10hrs) just to get me out of the house and a bit of extra cash in my pocket.

My husband works fulltime and we get working/child tax credits but we are still on a low income of around 16,000 a year.

We manage quite well and don't spend beyond our needs but i feel i should be helping somehow, and the best way for me to do that is get a small job at the weekend whet my husband is at home.
But if I go back to work will i lose the tax credits we get?

I dont want it to sound like i don't want to go back to work because i do, i used to work 60hrs+ before i had my little girl.

Will it be worth me sacrificing family time for 10hrs work that may just be taken of me anyway in our tax credits????

Is there a certain amount you can earn or hour to work before its affected?

Any answers are very gratefull :)))
