Wondering if anyone can help me or has any information.

Prior to falling pregnant I was temping through a recruitment agency and worked p/t as a cleaner. I was meant to be going to work winter season in Austria December - April but I found out I was pregnant. There's currently no temping atm so I am unemployed.

I really need to move out as space in my house is getting crowded and my parents especially my brother are doing my head in. I read online that I'm entitled to £141 a week.

I'm worried if I move out pay the deposit etc can I then claim for benefit? I don't want to move in somewhere, then not be able to get any help.

As soon as baby's here I am going to work again and look for perm, also thinking going back to college 2 evenings a week. It's just I need to move out asap.

Thank you xx

Are you claming income support etc? You can claim them straight away if not working.
You can't claim Housing benefit until you have a house, hope that makes sense xx

You need to have found a house & signed a contract before your hb will be paid. It will be paid in areas so you will need first months rent & deposit. Also, until your baby is actually here you will not be entitled to a 2 bedroom rate, they will only pay room in a shared house rate.

Do you mean will they pay for a 1 bed flat? No if you are under 35 (which I assume you are?) 1 person just qualifies for a room in a shared house. Once your baby is born you will get the rate for a 2 bedroom flat. The amount paid for each rate depends on your local council, you can check on their website x
