Not sure wat im going to do yet. Sending a copy of the ultrasound to my close family that we havent told yet, will wait for them to ring me and say something

We've told our immediate family and friends already.. we were just too excited, but I have a lot of social media friends (that I know in person) that I can't wait to tell. I think I am going to get two Big Stockings and write our names on them and then get a little tiny stocking and write baby on it and hang them on the fireplace mantle and take a picture. Then I will post it on facebook/Instagram/twitter as our profile picture and see how long it takes before everyone says something!

I had loads of fun ways when I was pregnant last time. The same excitement isn't there with people this time.
On friend got a 30th birthday card from baby malik.
Another friend got a babysitting coupon lol
Another got a card saying hello... she was 2nd to be told that day.
Parents got a poem for grandparents.
Brother got a text saying morning uncle.
Think that it all lol

Wow! Thanks everyone for the overwhelming responses! It's always interesting to hear how you broke the big news to family and friends! This is my first pregnancy so I'm still gathering ideas and trying to make it special. I definitely know I'm waiting until the first appointment about 2 weeks from now to tell more people. The big seasons (Thanksgiving and Christmas) are coming up so that brings opportunities to be creative!

This is our first and the 12week mark falls on Xmas day so if we can get a scan before that is like to put it in a Xmas card for my parents!if we can wait that long!

I'm worried tho that my mum will be upset I didn't tell her sooner

My first scan is next week so we will tell dolt after that I think. Maybe wait for friends until first tri is done which is December. 13th. Not sure if I can wait that long though! Have a dinner party in two weeks with close friends and they know I love my wine. Not sure I can avoid telling them but I will only be 9 weeks then ...

My DH and I will take my mum out to dinner and announce it at the 12 week mark with a pic of the scan hopefully.
As for the rest of my friends I have bought a cute tee shirt with a bun in the oven on it. I'm simply going to post a pic of me in the tee shirt and see who comments.

I dont know what to do about ours as I'm only 12 weeks on Boxing day so unlikely to have a scan before Christmas, but would love to do it using Christmas gifts! Plus I dont know how I will excuse not drinking for the whole Christmas period!
