sounds silly but do you need to sterilize powder pots(as i know powder is not sterile at this point) and if so then how do you dry the pots so the powder doesnt stick too it???? Thanx..

I used to sterilize them in the beginning but not anymore. I now just wash it with hot soapy water. I then leave it on kitchen roll to dry and then later give it another quick dry with a fresh piece of kitchen roll.

Don't quote me on it BUT - I would have thought that as powder isn't sterile and you kill the bacteria by making the formula up with hot water, you don't need to sterilise the pots.

I just was mine in hot soapy water and rinse then pour boiling water in leave for 5 mins then dry with kitchen roll x

Mine go through the dishwasher then if they are still wet I just use kitchen roll

Exactly the same, although I use the dishwasher :)

I didn't think they had to be sterlised...i've never done that just wash them with hot soapy water and dry with kitchen roll

i've always sterilised mine by popping them in the electric steriliser or the cold water one and then drying with clean kitchen roll x

thanx for all your advice girls, only switched to bottle feeding this week and omg wot a palava of all the things we've got too think of!XX

I dont bother sterilising them since finding out the powder isnt sterile. Much easier to just wash them and let them dry on the rack.
