How do you dust really high ceilings?! Help!

So my kitchen ceiling is really high, and there's a velux window and a massive spider and cobweb up there. I swear that spiders probably laughing up there at my pathetic attempts so far!

How do I get the horrid thing gone...I can see it but not reach with a duster, not even on a chair!

I don't have particularly high ceilings but I don't use dusters I use my Hoover for tops of doorways and ceiling corners. I stand on the little step ladder and can normally reach and can even balance the Hoover (it's a Henry) on the top part of step ladder with my knee if necessary. my kitchen is a bit harder but I've taken to just putting the Hoover on the work top and stretching. Good luck, hope you get rid; I can't stand sharing my house with spiders

Does your hoover have an extendable hose? I'd use that with a brush attachment. We have quite a high ceiling on our stairs and i'm forever hoovering cobwebs out the corners!
