How do you get baby active?

I have yet to figure this out. Mine's so stubborn. Even when he kicks like crazy and I tried to feel it from the outside, he stops. So poking, nudging, squirming, none of this works. Scares me because he's been quiet the last few days and I've tried EVERYTHING to get him to move.

I had a DR appt today and the nurse got out the doppler.. took her 5 times before he stayed still long enough to count his bpm lol

Agreed!!! As soon as I put the Doppler near her she boots it off my stomach and moves out of the way of where it was, don't think she likes it haha Xx

I've heard having a glass of cold water works, but I've tried and it doesn't really do anything.
Just wondering if you ladies try anything else to get baby active??

Cake does it every time. LOL I found that out last month when hubby bought me a birthday cake. I stay away from processed sweets otherwise. Fruit salad is something I have quite a bit--bananas, strawberries, blackberries, with about two tablespoons of orange juice for citrus flavor. Baby gets very active after I eat that.

ETA: Also, a forceful sneeze works quite effectively, too. Dumb allergies.

It's strange how so many different people have different things that baby responds to! I expected certain things to make baby kick/move but none of them work, nothing that seems to work for others works for me, and things I don't expect to have an effect will get sudden movement!
