can you steam any fruit (apart from bananas of course lol)

is there any fruit which needs water to cook with and if so how much

can you cook pineapple and pulse that? (and for future ref can you give it to babies?)

Hi!

I'm really loving making Simon's pureed food. Perhaps you'll love it to and do the same in a few months! ;)

Here's how it's done:

Vegetables can be steamed or boiled until tender and cooking water can be used to puree except for carrots (until babies are about 9 months due to nitrates).

Fruits should be boiled in a bit of water. For example: 9-11 pears with 175 ml (3/4 cup) of water. Use the cooking water for desired consistency.

Canned fruits don't need to be boiled but buy those in water or juice; not syrup. Rinse well and simply puree.

I did a fresh pineapple this week without cooking. Same goes for cantelope (spelling??). Use only a bit f water since once it's pureed these fruits are quite watery.

I also prepare meat... You cut meat into 1 inch cubes and place carrots, celeri and onion in about 2 cups water and cook, covered, for about 2 hours at 325 deg. F. Remove vegetables and puree with broth.

All this is yummy for LO. Fruits are super for adults, veggies great for soups, but I wouldn't risk the meat myself! ;)

Good luck!
