Ok, well LO is 5weeks and 2 days old...seems to be feeding every two hours, and has up to 6oz, he is a guzzler. Is rarely sick...shouldn't he be going longer in between feeds - like every 4 hours? He tends to have over 24 hours from 32 to 40oz! Have asked HV but she just said, as long as it is every 2 hours it is ok - she didn't seem concerned about the volume. He was 9lb 1/2 oz at birth and is on the 98th centile....

Just could do with him going a bit longer over night, sometimes it is three hourly...any tips?

i think 2-4hourly is the norm. He could be having a growth spurt?

Honestly, I wouldn't try to make him go longer in between feeds, especially where he is so young. Could be a growth spurt, or he could just be a hungry boy... I wouldn't worry if your HV, GP etc... aren't. Feeding a baby when they are showing signs of hunger (not just gas pains) is a good thing to do :) I don't think you are doing anything wrong :flower: Kayleigh fed every hour to 2 hrs until she was like 6 months old, and even now has 4-5 breastfeeds a day, along with some formula now and some food and she is under weight, imagine that. lol
