Hi ladies, i have had 4 cons m/cs been to my hospital for tests which all came back clear, had an hsg test and swabs.I have heard about other tests such as FSH test whch needs doing on cycle day 3 so i couldnt of had that, does anyone know,is this not routinely done? my progesterone was checked once over a year ago at day 21 and not since! i have also heard of a DHEA test too, i am 39 so thinking my problem could be with my eggs.Even in my last hospital appt (the first one i madeit too whilst still pg before m/c) they didnt even check my blood levels or progesterone there,i called my gp who was no help either.Just dont believe they have done all they can,or maybe they just dont bother! does anyone know??? xxx

Hi there, gosh you must be frustrated...

The FSH and LH blood test should be done first on cd2/3 and progesterone on cd21 (or in case of irregular cycles 7dpo). These were the things my gp immediately requested when i went to see her. And then at the hospital we did swabs and ordered scans and hsg. But i cannot conceive. So maybe the fact that you do conceive but you have reoccurring m/cs requires different actions. I just can't believe they would ignore the fact that you keep miscarrying. That's just wrong. I'd advise you to keep nagging them hunni, do some research and get that help out of them. Try a different gp maybe, i had one who said 'oh it'll happen don't worry' but i went to see someone else and she immediately referred me to a FS. It must be awful for you i'm so sorry you keep going through it and feel helpless and let down. Especially in London (i can see you are there). I'm trying to get into a London clinic for treatments too as i'm not so keen on my local hospital. good luck x x x x
