as the title says how fast did labour start?

by this i mean from your first contraction/twinge (knowing something was hapening) till you was ready to go to hospital?

my scare is that ill be stuck in early labour not able to go to the hospital for days and just stuck at home in more pain than im allready in :-/

i was in the first stage of labour for 5 days with my first so was 5 days from when i knew something wasnt right till it was time to go to hosp and push :-( hope this doesnt happen again:-/

No signs before hand.
Waters broke 1.15am
Nothing for 3 hours (hospital check HB sent home)
First contraction 4.15am
Hospital 6am fully dilated
Born 7.21am

Never in my life did I think I'd be quick, firsts everyone says are ages. Your second is generally quicker too

I wish it was that easy to tell hun, but each birth is different and my 3rd took 12 hrs so im not expecting this one to be under 10hrs!! Though some people it gets very quick after 1st baby hope we can be that percentage this time!! xx

with my first i fell down the stairs and had a show immediately after and contractions! i had them all day and then i went to hospital 24 hours after my show only for everything to stop and i had to be induced but i was 14 days overdue so i had no choice and then baby was born 24 hours later!

with my 2nd i was induced at 10 days overdue from the 1st contraction to when he was born and waters breaking 1 hour!

baby 1= first contraction 2pm 1st june every 20 mins. 2nd june got to the hospital at 7am contractions 10 mins apart. 5cm dilated. baby born at 12.16pm 22 hours after it all started. waters got broken in labout

baby 2= induced so abit hard to judge but 1st pessary 5th july midday. contractions started pretty soon. 7pm 4cm dilated put on labour ward. 11pm still 4cm dilated so put on drip. 03.11am 6th july baby born.

baby 3= back contraction started 10.20pm 22nd april, another 5 mins later followed by another so knew it was happening very quickly. left home at 10.40pm so only 15 mins after they started, arrived at the hospital at 10.55pm. 11.15pm 7cm dilated, 11.45pm baby born. 50 mins after arriving at the hospital and 1 hour 15 mins from 1st contraction til being born

currently 36+4 with baby number 4 so not sure what to expect after the last one

Erm... 30 hours at home. First contractions were 20 mins apart for a couple of hours, then 10 mins apart for about a day! Then 11 hours in hospital after that. Bit long, but wasn't that bad xx Good luck!

with my son my waters broke around 2am, my contractions started about 3am and by 4 they were unbearable, on top of each other & had to go to hospital. I got there & I wasn't dilating & cervix wasn't ready either so told me I was in for the long haul & gave me pethedine. 831 am he was born.

3 years ago tomorrow!!

I was lucky I had such a quick labour
