how long did it take you to get pregnant?

I am now 26 was 24 when fell with DD. I had been taking cerazette for 3 years, got af 5 weeks after stopping and feel first cycle. Then went back on cerazette, now 26. took 5 weeks again for af and fell again first cycle.

Have always had regular cycles x

How long did it take for you to get pregnant? I come of the pill in Feb and started trying in May and fell pregnant 2nd month of trying but had an early miscarriage, and then fell pregnant 3months later. To be honest I think it was the miscarriage that finally sorted out my cycles

And have you any tips? (Positions, how often to bd you recommend??) I used the CBFM to help as well as temping, then when i got my high we would bd, and afters stay lying down with pillow under bum relaxing

Do you have irregular or regular periods?Regular but very long cycles- 35 days or so

Was you on a contraceptive pill first? Yes on cilleste for 10 years. Stopped taking in january (would so reccommend it if you suffer with moods etc)

How long did it take for you to get pregnant?Two trys.Firstly we tried (without following any TTC rules) and failed cycle #1. 2nd try temped and used OPK. Seems I Oulate much later than I thought. bfp in the bag (I feel blessed for being so lucky)

And have you any tips? OPKs are fab and worked for us a treat. Esp if you have long cycles or are irregular. OH needs to keep his batch fresh and mine made sure he had a "spring clean" of his factory every other day. Plus kept bum in air for 30 mins after each go.

We are very very thankful that we didnt have to try long. But failing in the first month was a taste of how hurtful and upsetting it can be. We had many strained conversations over what to do if it didnt work. Try to relax and remember you have 12 go's before it officially needs a bit of looking at. A friend of mine waited 3 years, took some fertility drugs and it worked first time.

I had very few symptoms after ovulation, so dont get wrapped up in dpo symptoms!

Do you have irregular or regular periods? Since coming off the pill I've been having long cycles.

#1 = Ov on day 42
#2 = Ov on day 44
#3 = Ov on day 29 = on cycle day 40

Was you on a contraceptive pill first? If so how long for and which one?
I was on the pill for 9 years & on dianette for about 6 years continuous (to treat skin probs)

How long did it take for you to get pregnant? Once I started Ovulating again, 3 cycles (4 months due to their lengths!)

And have you any tips?

*Take EPO to increase fertile mucous.
*Don't bother with AC to help with long cycles - it doesn't help. I took none on cycle 3 & got pregnant.
*Also, I love being on top but swapped to missionary on cycle 3 & got pregnant.

I'm 27, periods were on and off at one stage got told i would need meds to help me concieve,I was on microgynon for 6 months, came off it on the monday and by the monday after i got pregnant. I must ovulate whilst i'm on my period coz it was the last day off my period i concieved. If that makes sense? Here i am now at almost 36 weeks!!! xx

Lottie with my first it took 2 years and 2 months. I had been on the Depo injection contraception for over 2 years and we tried for 2 years and nothing happened. The doctor finally referred me to the hospital to be investigated for fertility issues and they discovered I did not ovulate like I should. So I went in for blood tests at different times of the month and they put me on Clomid which induced ovulation.

The second month of me taking the tablets I caught.

My gorgeous son is now 17 months old, and I have not been on hormonal contraception since through fear of fertility problems again. Used condoms only. I started university in September as a student midwife so we made the decision to hold of baby making for number 2 until I qualified in 3 years time.

So.. I went for advice on contraception... one that wouldnt ruin my fertility again. I was given a very low dose of combined pill. Anyway.. turns out I fell pregnant before I got the chance to take my pill, lol. And I am so happy that my fertility is normal. and now I get to take a year out to have my gorgeous baby

Tips for ttc... erm... as hard as it seems, try hard not to get stressed over it and test monthly because it does get to you. Have sex every other day for the whole month apart from when your on your period. The you dont have to worry about your fertile days And track your cycles so you know when your due when you do catch.

And my cycles have never been regular. ever!! Always between 27 and 36 days lol x

I'm closing in on 37 weeks so I'm not part of this group, but I thought I'd answer if that's okay.


What is your age? I am 33, and was 32 when I got pregnant.

Do you have irregular or regular periods? Regular.

Was you on a contraceptive pill first? If so how long for and which one? I was on ortho tricyclene for a year, but it was a few years before we decided to have children.

How long did it take for you to get pregnant? 2 cycles.

And have you any tips? (Positions, how often to bd you recommend??) What helped me was temping because I O'd later than I thought I did, so chances are good I would have missed ovulation. I also used OPK's once in the morning and once in the late afternoon. I'm glad I did that because the OPK was negative in the evening and positive in the morning on the same day, so I would have missed that I ovulated that day. We started BDing about 5 days before O...the first few times it would be every other day and then every day. Then we would do it one night after O for good measure. I got pregnant either in missionary or from behind...not sure which. Then I would prop my hips up on a pillow for half an hour before getting up.

How long did it take for you to get pregnant? Conceived on cycle 2 after coming off the pill.

And have you any tips? (Positions, how often to bd you recommend??) We did it every day after the end of my last AF. Mostly missionary and doggy. I also raised my legs for a few minutes afterwards and also refrained from going to the loo for 20mins or so to give those soldiers the best chance of reaching target

Do you have irregular or regular periods? Normally regular (whenever I've come off the pill, they've settled down to around 28 days)

Was you on a contraceptive pill first? I was on Low-estron (sp?!) for approximately 6 years and microgynon for 1 year before that

How long did it take for you to get pregnant? I decided to come off the pill about 2 months before we actually wanted to start trying to kind of 'ease into it slowly'.... The relaxed approach must have worked though as I got my bfp after 1 cycle!

And have you any tips? (Positions, how often to bd you recommend??) I really think the relaxed approach helped a lot, there was zero pressure on us, we were really just having fun. The second cycle I tried to make sure that we bd a bit more frequently about 2 weeks after AF but really didn't worry about it too much. Afterwards, I didn't put my bum in the air or anything but I did stay lying down and not 'wipe'!! (TMI !!)

hi, I am 25.

I was never on the pill before and i have regular cycle.

It took me 6 months to get pregnant. The month of october was the month that i was travelling a lot and did not even pay attention to the ovulation signs ect. We prayed and fasted ( me and my hubby are christian) and bingo! I got the BFP when i realised i was one day late

So my advice to you is don't stress your mind. enjoy your life and things will happen

Was you on a contraceptive pill first? I used Implanon implant for nearly 8 years

How long did it take for you to get pregnant? 6 weeks after Implanon removed

And have you any tips? Try and just enjoy it!!! But if you feel anxious or are worried then see your doctor asap for reassurance

And have you any tips? (Positions, how often to bd you recommend??) It can be a pain in the ass, but try every day after AF leaves and until Ov. is confirmed. Lay in bed with hips raised for 20 minutes. Take vitamins and eat healthy. Chart & use OPKs.
