How long does it REALLY take to TTC - the truth, let's hear it

I'm at 10 months of TTC and still only pulling BFNs I was also told that most couples conceive within a year, so here's hoping!

We conceived first cycle. I stopped my pill on day 10 of the packet, had a withdrawral bleed 7 days later, and ovulated and conceived 13days after that.

We've been NTNP since LO was born and still no BFP 10 months later...... but then I've not ovulated and AF hasn't returned and I'm still BFing 6 times a day so it doesn't really count.

It took us 9 months for Brady, 6 months for Jacob and we are on cycle 7 ttc #3 atm. I voted 9 months because its been between 6-9 months for us so far

I am on cycle 4, ttc number 1. Was talking to my mum about ttc, and it took her 6 years to concieve one of my younger brothers after she had me, but then got pregnant again with my other brother the month after she gave birth! So I think it is hard to say an "average" time, and hopefully my mums story will give hope to those who have been ttc for a while.

it was only 2 weeks for my first who is now 6 years old from a previous relationship. my OH and i have been ttc for 9 months but on cycle 3 we have primary male infertility but possible secondary female infertility due to possible pcos just waiting for AMH to come back!!

I said I'd update when I conceived and I got my on Wednesday so for me it took 2 cycles
We feel very lucky to have conceived this quickly: I really thought it would take us longer and I voted 6 months on the poll because I thought that might be an average time...now I'm not so sure, it just seems different with every person and even different fir the same person with each baby!

My DH and I have been ttc for 7 months now. I voted for the year, as i so hope it happens for us by then. I am waiting to test as on 10 dpo right now... driving me mad! good luck everyone, wishing you all bfps xxx

Sooo reassuring to hear people who get BFPs after a long time of trying, I often wonder if its ever going to happen but hearing these stories give me renewed hope

We have just tipped over the year mark of actually trying for #1, although we have not used any contraception for 8 years! (just used pull out method until last year) nothing as yet

i was on pill when concieved my dd 4 yrs ago, now been trying for over a year with oh( who is not dd father) but he works away alot so putting it down to him never being here at the right time!!!, but sending him off for tests in the next cpl of months x

now on 5th cycle since coming off the pill but think we only got timing right on 2 of them......both my friends at work got BFP within 2 cycles!! Feel i'm going nuts already and convincing myself there is something wrong....its soo hard not too worry
