how long was you all ttc??

I came off the pill about a year ago and even though we weren't trying I refused to go back on as I felt so much happier and less grumpy and stressed off it. We used condoms until May this year when we started trying and I got pregnant straight away!

With my son I was on the pill, had to take a course of pencilin and the doctor never told me that it could affect the pill :dohh: actually should find that doctor and thank him, best thing that ever happened to me

I have a friend who was trying for ages and I have no idea how she was so strong, it broke my heart every month when she get her period so I can't even imagine how she felt

Came off pill oct 09 after being on it for 15 years. Used condoms till Beginning Feb this year then got BFP in June. So it took about 4 months for me (although felt a lot longer!)

I had the copper coil removed - fell pregnant 2 months later. Good luck hun,xx

we decided rather than to start 'trying' that we would stop trying not to. Came off the pill, had sex once and was pregnant within 2 weeks. was a shock to say the least! a happy one of course though :)

i also appreciate how lucky i was and wish luck to all those who are trying to conceive.

I was on the pill for years, then got off and just used condoms/"pull out" method for a few months...then did the "if it happens it happens technique" in April had my AF in May and got a BFP in June :)

i was on the pill me and oh suffered mc in september so went back on the pill came off it in december got pregnant in march had 1st bfp 9-4-10 :D

I had the copper coil removed - fell pregnant 2 months later. Good luck hun,xx

Oh cool ditto! Although we avoided ovulation as we wanted to wait quite a while! Lesson there ladies, sperm can hang on for dear life for a good week! lol

I'm intolerant to artificial hormones so can't do any of the contraceptives except condoms (hate them) and copper coil (doctor told me not to have one in as it can hurt alot to put in if your cervix has never opened properly) So we just used condoms/pull out method and weren't actively trying but had discussed ttc at end of this year. Had a little 'weekend away' mishap and poof here we are now at 23 weeks. So pleased as after all the horrible stuff happening whilst I messed with my body clock to see if I could find a pill/contraceptive that suited me I had convinced myself I was infertile anyway. Wwas obviously meant to be - if a little earlier than planned. Both me and OH are very happy.

So I know I had it easy as it just happened for me so wishing all those ttc strength, luck and happiness and hope those BFP's keep coming xxx

I'm not pregnant but with my mc we'd only used condoms and had been ttc for 5 months before I got pregnant.

We're at the 20 month mark now though, reckon my :bfp: must be round the corner :flower:

we tried for 13 months ish after falling pregnant on the coil and having ruptured ectopic losing my right tube, but hubby is in the RAF so he was away for some of the 13 months, i think thats y it took so long lol he was never there!!!

Dh and I were really lucky..I already knew I had fertility issues which I found out during my first marriage so we went straight to IVF. Took Synarel nasal spray and gonal f injections 2x daily for 4 months, had 2 embryos implanted and got pregnant:D So to answer your question a little over 4 months.

hmm i feel a little guilty for writing mine after reading some peoples stories

DS1 we decided new years eve to start trying , i was pregnant by the feb , DS2 we were NTNP since the june i was pregnant by the august and this time we decided the week before i was fertile and i fell pregnant that week

Was on the pill for 5 years (low dose). Went off it and waited 3 months to get my cycle back on track. I didn't want to risk any problems with pregnancy/getting off the pill.

Tried for almost a year after that. I used the ovulation predictor kit (Clearblue Easy smiley face indicator) for the last 3-4 months of trying. I had no idea I only had a 36 hour window if not less to get pregnant. It would be positive for a day, then gone by the next evening.

We had 3 or 4 good months of trying but got nothing. I was so frustrated. EVERY SINGLE MONTH, during ovulation time, some BS would come up. Family visiting, stomach bug, etc. So months would continue to tick by without getting some "good tries" in.

DH went to get his sperm checked (it was fine). We were looking at an infertility specialist, but DH and I then decided that if I can't bear children, then it's not meant to be. I didn't want to get artificial insemination or IVF.

Little did I know I was already 2 weeks pregnant at my consultation!

I was about to do my crazy exercise routine, Insanity or 30 Day Shred, but I decided to pee on a stick first just for "fun" and my period was a week late or so. 2 Dollar Store ones came up positive, and I thought they were defective lots. Then I used the one that says "Pregnant/Not Pregnant" and got my answer.

We are so elated!

I was on BCP for 7 years came off May 2009 and got pregnant our first actually trying cycle in April 2010.

It took us 16 months, no contraceptives, told it was going to be nearly impossible without IUI or IVF but God decided to bless us naturally. Here I am almost 17 weeks! Wishing you the best!

I started to try in December 2009 for No.2 and got pregnant in the first month although I sadly had my 2nd m/c in Jan 2010 and it took from Jan till May to conceive again, so i guess 5 months.

Wishing you all the luck in the world and I hope it happens soon.

Baby #1 - I was on the pill and he was a total and magnificent surprise.

Baby #2 - Tried one time after being on the pill for 2 yrs.

My husband and i always wanted our kids close together so when our son was 3 months(January of 2009) we started trying. Got pregnant in September of 2009 and miscarried then pregnant again I'm February of 2010 then miscarried. May of 2010 was our last month of trying after 16 months all together I got pregnant on my first round of clomid..after the doctors had called a few days before saying I never ovulated. Ha I showed them :)
I had a fully blocked tube and one partially blocked at only 18yrs old. So that is why it took so long.

Decided to come off the pill in March & NTNP, amazingly we concieved in the 1st month of trying. Feel extremly blessed.
