I had a miscarriage on 17th march 2018..
my first question is how many weeks after did you get AF?
Second is how soon after mc did you fall pregnant again?

I was SO sure i was pregnant this month with all the symptoms.. but no. Lots of bfns. I'm not out yet as such.. but im pretty sure i will be soon

Hi mrsmummy, are you still waiting for your AF? Or you have had the first one after mc? I just had my BNN (mc 2 weeks ago) and wonder when I will get mine. May I ask if you experienced (very mild) lower abdominal aches? I had it every now and then and wonder if it’s normal to still feel aches 2 weeks after mc...

Yes still waiting. I have loads of cramping and back ache this past half hour or so though, so I suspect she's going to show soon.
I didn't have any pain at all with the MC.. I expected agony, but literally felt less painful than a normal period.
I've had loads of cramping since CD12 and pretty much carried on everyday.

Do you chart? or OPK? maybe you're gearing up to ovulate?

Just saw your reply on the other thread :) just thought I would share with you. My friend who went through mc as well, recommended maca powder to me, said it helped to regulate her hormones and her af came a month after mc and it was a regular flow. She waited 2 cycles before ttc again and her af had been very regular. She conceived on the 2nd cycles and had a beautiful baby boy last December. I started taking maca powder (1 teaspoon in yogurt) since mc and hopefully it’ll help to regulate my hormones, not sure if it’ll work on me but no harm trying I guess :)

With my last 2 mc it was 6 weeks for my period. The first periods have all been quite painful too.

:hugs:

I did an ovulation test yesterday and it was negative (was positive on Friday because of HCG) and I did PG test today and it’s finally negative. I doubt I’ll ovulate so soon but you never know... I’ll do an O test when I get home.

My mc was like mild contraction pain and i passed the foetus naturally...

After both my losses AF returned exactly 28 days later. We started trying after first AF each time and in both cases it took 3 months to catch again.

I lost my baby on the 25th March - pretty sure I ovulated a couple of days ago so I’m hoping AF turns up in about 10 days or so. I was too scared to try this month before I had a proper period but I’m regretting it now as it really dawned on me I’m not pregnant anymore and I feel so empty. And I’m worried as it took us so long to get pregnant, that after this you’re more fertile and I don’t no how long that lasts for. I’m hoping we get the post-mortem results before I ovulate again so I feel more secure trying again.
My previous losses were earlier ones - with those I got AF afterwards as normal and it wasn’t any heavier than normal, although I think it is different for everyone.
Good luck to everyone
X

Thanks all for the replies. Will look into the maca stuff! mine was natural too.. drs described it as "fetal product" - I hate how clinical they are with it all. It sounds awful.

I had really hoped this month would be ours after reading so many success stories of people falling pregnant immediately (within 2-3 weeks) of their mc's .. AF still hasn't arrived, but with so many BFNs and cramping that's started today, I'm pretty sure I'm out. I have read that you're extra fertile after mc's (and child birth etc) .. i hope this lasts a while and not just that first month. I got our bfp first month trying this time.. thought it was too good to be true! :(

red- I've been following your journal. I completely understand being scared to try again immediately after all you've been through. I know it can't ever make up for the loss you've experienced, but I really hope you get your beautiful rainbow soon. I have everything crossed that if/when you decide to try again, that you'll have a perfect happy and healthy 9 months <3

Red, Im pretty sure I was told the extra fertility can last a few months. Im so sorry for your loss :hugs: I think having a proper period after mc can lessen some of the worry when you do fall pregnant again. It probably doesnt make much difference but I know I felt better and like it was a clean slate. Good luck x

Hello....so sorry for your loss too :hugs:
With my first and second mc's my first period flow was a bit heavier and more painful than usual. With this recent mc my first bleed was a continuation of the mc I think as I passed some retained tissue, it was a bit weird and very sore. The next bleed which I think was a proper period was pretty normal. And Ive just had a weird long/light one the last couple of weeks but Im putting it down to prenatals possibly messing me up!!
Everybody is different and every mc can be different. I think things will work when your body is ready. As frustrating as it is.

Good luck ladies.
