How many of you work?

Erm, my jobs kind of weird. I work with disabled children/teens in school holidays. So its kind of like a play group, most of the children have Autism or something alike.

In the holidays i work 4/5 days a week. Two of the days i do 9.30 - 5.30, and the other 2/3, i only do 9.00 - 3.30.

I'll be working October half term, Christmas holidays + February half term.
I may do a little bit of the Summer Holidays in 2012 aswell, just like a couple of days a week cause it pays well. I'm not entitled to any sort of Maternity Leave/Pay because its not a proper contract. But i know they'll take me back for a few shifts after LO arrives cause all the kids know me.

I work roughly 8 hours a week on thursdays, its a relieving agency and so if they call me on a non-schedule day and I feel like working I can say yes/and if they call me and I don't want want to work that day it's the same deal. I'm pretty sure I can take my maternity leave and keep working with them later on but as I don't have actual scheduled hours I don't think I'm entitled to anything from them, but I am entitled to benefit from the government.. and I get holiday pay around xmas

I work 35-40 hours a week.. As an Accute Brain Injury Support Nurse..
It was in 12.5hour shifts but I've just cut them down 9 but do an extra day so it still works out the same hours a week. If that makes sense? lol.

I'm due the end of March.. I go on annual leave at the end of Feb and then my maternity leave starts the middle of march..
They have been saying though because of the nature of my job they may force me to go on Mat. Leave after christmas :/
Cause as of 29wks they can just turn around and say 'your leave starts now' :(
Which is all good and well but im depending on that money :/

I'll get 6 weeks full pay and then another 6 weeks 90% pay.. then it will go down to statutory maternity pay.. Then I'm jacking in my job all together cause it's too tiring and dangerous and I dont want to be away from baby for 35+ hours a week! :nope:
xx

I dont work :( I would like to tho im so bored lol

i was working about 20 hours a week as a nanny but then the mom lost her job basically so I lost mine. But, I am trying to work part time at a CVS or a Carters like 3 minutes away from my house!! I really want to work at carters though because their baby clothing is adorable!

I don't work, but I could if I wanted to (Next year - as soon as I turn 15 in December) But my mom wants me to focus on schooling for grade 10, and then next Summer vaca she wants me to spend it with my son. So most likely in grade 11 I will start a part time job.
My boyfriend (FOB) does work though. He actually works 2 jobs, and works 6/7 days a week.

I work from home so no problems there for me!

I just started my mat leave and will get alomst a full year off with paid benifits from the goverment, before mat leave though I worked as an insurance broker, I worked 40 hours a week so full time and when I am done mat leave I can continue on with my job but will probably work from home most days :)

I work, five to six days a week depending on the week, around 35-40 hours most of the time. I am in the US and maternity is different, so I get 12 weeks unpaid leave, then will decide if I want to go back, I may opt to do part time or I may decide to stay home. I am really unsure right now.

I work Monday 11am till 10pm, Thursday 1pm till 9pm, Friday and Saturday 9am till 8pm one week then the next I do Monday and Wednesday 11am till 10pm, Thursday 1pm till 9pm, Friday 9am till 8pm. So I do around 40 hours a week :). I have't been with my employer long enough to qualify for their maternity package so will be staying at work for as long as I can then going back to work as soon as it's suitable because maternity allowance is nowhere near enough for me. OH also works about 30 hours a week :). xxx

I worked at the beginning of my pregnancy but they fired me when people started talking about my pregnancy :coffee: I hadn't told my parents yet so I didn't take them to court for unfair dismissal but now I wish I did! I was in full-time education throughout my pregnancy though. They let me finish early in April as I was due on the 11th of July and they didn't want me struggling coming to College. I got my course finished though and Lucia arrived on the 21st of July :flow: x

I don't work, nor have I ever worked. There are just no other jobs in my town other than Subway, A&W, and Dairy Queen. I want to work somewhere that isn't like high paced, unfriendly, corporate place. Ya know? I'd prefer something family owned, small business like.

OH works though only in the summer, 10 hrs a day at $16/hr.

I want a job! I'm bored at home all day!

I work 40 hours a week oing maintenance at the local sheriffs office. I wondering how in the hell im going to do all this when i get bigger. Its a very physical job.

Before pregnancy and during my pregnancy, I worked 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday, so 40 hours a week.

Now I work 7am-3pm, 30 hours a week. I only had 8 weeks off (I had a c-section, otherwise it would've only been 6 weeks) and it wasn't paid.

I'm currently a Full Time Student

But i stop working at 5 months unfair treatment they had no consideration of my pregnancy =/

I work 37.5 hours a week. Tuesday till saturday ( tues: 12 till 8pm the rest 10 till 6pm. my work is like 2 hours away from home which is very tireing. i will be leaving for mat leave in januray and taking 5 weeks of my acrued holiday in december. i believe because ihavent been there a year il only qualify for government mat pay.

I work 51 hours or more a week. It is required since I am a retail store manager. It sucks because I have been very tired lately. We get 12 weeks unpaid, but I'll use 2 weeks of my paid personal leave since Im due in May.
