How many oz?

Hiya,

Just a quick question, how many oz per day does/did your LO take at 6weeks old?

My daughter varies each day and every feed she will take a different amount.

Sometimes she will have 5oz per feed, then she may only have 2.5oz on the next?!

Is it ok that she isn't in a feeding routine yet?

My LO was on approx 5 feeds at 120 - 150ml. She has Aptamil. She used to take lower than 150mls sometimes and i used to strees out about it but I noticed she used to fall asleep alot during the feed therefore not drinking all her bottle. I went up a teat size and she then drank all her drink within no time at all.

our little one just made 3wks old on thursday and his feeding is about the same. he takes 4ozs generally about every 3hrs but during the day sometimes he is just ready to eat 2hrs later and doesn't finish the bottle. we are getting a good 3hrs in between on most nights though. like hls suggested, she may be ready for a faster flow nipple though. i swear i have spent a fortune on different brands of nipples and different stage nipples.

my 6 week old takes 4/5oz every 4hours then sometimes goes 3 hours and takes 3/4oz. depends how hungry she is x

My little one takes 5oz and she is 6 weeks tomorrow. Sometimes she might only want 4-4.5oz. Through the day she goes 3 hours between feeds (sometimes 3.5hours) but at night time we have a good routine and she has a bath then bottle and goes down at 9pm and has started sleeping till 3.30-4am so 6-7 hours then again till 7/7.30am and sometimes again after that till 10am (ish).

4 Oz, moved to 5 oz last week at 7 weeks, still mostly 4 and 2 oz at night.

My LO takes 5-6oz every 4 hours, he is 6 weeks but a big baby, he is always hungry, i'm feeding him expressed breast milk and aptamil- 50/50.

She normally feeds every 4 hours, 5 hours during the night.

She is normally awake for about an hour (ish) after a feed - esp if I put her straight down, she likes to sleep on me!!

my lo is 8 weeks old and is taking usually 7oz every 2/3 hours sometimes 4 hours depending on him he is a big boy with a big appitete lol
