FF Moms,
When did you start weaning LOs off milk and how do you decide on how much solids to replace milk intake.

Personally I just worked in solids inbewtween her milk feeds and she started taking less milk at each feed and dropping bottles on her own. She went from 5 or 6 7-8oz bottles a day to 2x4oz bottles and 2x5-7oz bottles a day now she is on 3 meals a day. I think that babies still need 21oz of formula a day until they are a year old (but I think that dairy like yogurts and cheese also counts towards the 21oz) xx

You don't replace milk with solids just work around solids :)

Yes, you add solids, milk is still there as normal.

You do not reduce any milk feeds.

LO may start taking less around 9 months when LO would be on 3 meals and couple snacks per day.

20oz at least is recommended from 9 months.

Milk is their main source of nutrition up til age 1 so try keep as much of it there as you can.:flower:
