How much is maternity leave after tax ?? am trying to work out costs extra and I am wondering if someone could tell me in a month how much you actually get in the bank

About 113-115 a week

i get £113. something after tax!! think its outrageous we get taxed on it!!

i got around £430 a month but paid little if any tax on it.

i pay minimal tax on mine if any and it seems like the tax man is giving me a rebate too ooooh!

Also when you go to give estimates to the tax credits people you dont have to declare the first 100 pounds a week of your maternity pay.
Double check when you ring but thats what happened with mine.
I read about it in a small file of info the HV gave to me

Apparently everyone who paid tax over the last couple of months gets £60 back - something to do with Gordon Brown raising the taxes then backing down & having to refund everyone - getting my £60 this month -had my payslip
