How much to feed a 6 week old?

Title says it all really! How many oz/ml of formula does (or did) your 6 week old have at each feed?

my LO is 8 weeks now and is on 5oz every 4 hours, at 6 weeks he was on 4 oz's every 4hours

hi my lo had 4-5 oz every 3 hours and now at 9 weeks is on 5-6 oz every 4 hours x

My LO is six weeks on sunday but is already weighing over 11lb so this week we have increased her feed to 6oz. If she eats all 6 she will go about 4 hours if she eats between 4 and 5 it will only be 3 hours. She is a bit of a hungry gannet!

My guy has been on 5 oz every 3 hours for weeks now he was a week overdue and weighed in at 8 3 so im guessin this is why hes so hungry haha.

Earl is the same.

He is 5 weeks on Monday and has 5oz every 3 hours (except at night when he has a 5hr then 4 hr sleep pattern). He weighed 11lb 7oz last wednesday!! He averages 35oz a day!!! But he seems happy, his tummy aches have stopped and he is in a clear cut routine...it's obviously what works for him. I fully expect that next week (when he's 6 weeks) he will be up to 6 oz a feed too!

At 6 weeks, Autumn was on 4oz every 3 hrs during the daytime. At night she'd have a bottle about 9, 2 or 3 then about 6 or 7am.

She just in the last week went up to 5oz (8 weeks old now)

Aimee- lou - I'm glad it's not just mine who eats loads! I was begining to worry she was biggest / hungriest baby on here! People can't believe she is only 6 weeks!

No-one can believe it of Earl either.....

I'm biting the bullet and putting him up to 6oz as of tomorrow (once we've used up what I've made up for tonight). He keeps on draining 5oz bottles and is only going 2 and a half hours between feeds now so it's time to up the oz's I think.

The clothes in the avatar are all 0-3 months and are a perfect fit! I reckon by tomorrow morning he will have grown out of them! Every time he has a nap, he looks bigger when he wakes up! lol

Phoebe is gorgeous btw.....and what a lovely name!

My lo is on 5 ounces every 3 hours or so..even in the night. ugh...
Hes now almost 10 weeks old..
he was breastfed for the first 6.5 weeks of his life..so i dont know how much he ate then..but when i put him on formula i started at 2 ounces every 2 hours then went up and up after that..he eats alot. and if he had his way he would be eating every 2 hours.
Bryce was born 1 week early at almost 9 pounds, so maybe thats why hes so hungry who knows.
I would start with maybe 3 ounces every 3 hours? They say its 1 ounce every hour till they are 2 months then its 1.5 ounces or something along those lines.

how is your baby feeding right now? How many ounce? How much feeds? Night feeds to?

When bryce was 6 weeks old he was 11.5 pounds and in 3 months clothes. he is only 22 inches long to..so hes a big boy. he was eating 4 ounces every 2-3 hours at that age when i took him off of the breast.
so your not alone with big and hungry babies
He weighed in at 13 pounds 1 ounce at 9 weeks old lol.

I think how big she is must have been on my mind last night as i dreamt i shouted at a woman at work (a very nice one) for accusing me of over-feeding her!
getting her weighed again tomorrow so will see what madam has put on this week!

my son is just over 5 weeks and he has 5oz every 4 hours, but he is starting to drain them and sometimes wants more so I think he may be on 6oz soon.
