How much will a part-time job affect our tax credits??

Oh earns 14,000 a year so we will get some sort of tax credits.. no idea how much have pretty much given up trying to work out how much haha, just have to wait and see when LO arrives.

If I was to get a part-time job once LO is a bit older, say getting around £50 a week, would they cut down the tax credits a lot (in which case i wouldn't bother haha)

my OH earns 13,000 before tax and we get 59 Child tax credit 46 working tax credit and the 20 child benefit i cant imagine yours being much less hun, not sure about the part time job but i do know you would be better off staying at home with the way the government works now! x

at the moment my oh earns 16.5k per year and we get £113 in total off the tax credits for 2 kids and £30 child benefit when i go back to work im doing part time i think 6k per year and it doesnt make muh dofferance tbh to the tax credits have you been on inland revenue site and played with the tax credit calculator tells you what your payments will be

If your job takes your joint income over the working tax credit threshold (about £16.5k I think) then you won't be eligible for working tax credits but should still get child tax credits.

My partner earns 200 a week & I work 24 hrs a week earning 140 . We get 22 a week WTC & 222 a month CTC

We still got working tax credits when we earnt 17,000 between us

So is there a cut off for wtc? Theres so much confusing info with tax credits
