how to be human at work

Hi all -
I am in a CRAP mood today - almost positive IUI #2 is a bust. I test tomorrow. I am so cranky at work. How do you stay human when all you want to go is cry, scream or read B&B all day??

Sorry to hear you think IUI was unsuccessful - why do you think that?

It sucks being at working and having to act normal around your work colleagues. Thankfully my boss just left for the day so can surf BnB now in peace! Maybe take a day or two off - tomorrow and mon to get your self back on track if you do get bad news!

I really hope you get a positive this month.

THanks ladies... the reason I think the IUI didn't work is the RE said it was very unlikely due to DH's low sperm count (only 3 million.) I had sore boobs after the HCG shot and now they've gone away. I just seem to be losing my symptoms.

Do you still think there's a chance for me??

I find it really hard to act normally about my colleagues. None of them know I'm doing fertility treatments. Sometimes I just want to shout, "You think that's an emergency??" I can't get pregnant - now THAT'S an emergency!!"

I shut my door alot. I know they know something is up.

Omi we have 17 - it's like someone put something in the freaking water!!

RB - I work for the police and actually deal with emergency calls - half the time theyre not emergencies and I really DO want to yell YOU DIALLED 999 FOR THAT?! But theyre pretty good where I am feeling poo - I just talk to my line manager when I am having a clomid mood or when I was dealing with the mc and they let me sit in a quiet corner and close incidents.....

6 and 17 bumps - UGH! How can you stand it??

Even though I want to be one of those bumps, right now I can't stand the sight of bumps and they are everywhere!!

It's been harder and harder to fake the smiles as of late. I've just been telling coworkers I really need a vacation, or I don't feel well, and today I admitted I was just cranky.

ladies..I can understand and am in the same boat as u ladies are..cant concentrate properly and I myself know that I am not giving my 100% which I used to..which is sooo bad..but we r humans too and have a lot of emotions goin on..what else can we do..cant have a fake smile everytime..can we??

Does anyone else find that people are always trying to second guess whether they are pregnant or not at work? At my xmas party I had a bunch of new girls drink watching me and they eventually just asked me. Now everytime I have a Doctors appointment relating to this I lie and say I have asthma clinic or something - think I have used that lie a few too many times so need to start coming up with a new one!!!!

In a way that will make things easier because you don't have to worry they're speculating about you... they KNOW what's happening with you. You don't have to feel like you're making excuses all the time. I wonder if that's healthier mentally?

I just hate that im the odd one out now as 3 of the 6 pregnant girls know i had 2 mc's, am old as the hills (just turned 40, gulp) and that im still ttc.

I have no say in convo's about babies, pregnancy, buying baby stuff and raising children - which is what they all talk about 24-7! Im like an effing bump on a log!!!

Wish i worked in a baby/child free environment where wouldn't feel like such a freak, barren and bloody anomaly. Bummer

Sorry for rant but its really getting to me sometimes and i have nowhere to hide but just sit there and look like i really give a f**k when all i wanna do is scream 'shut the f**k up!!' But what i really hate is the incessant whinging and moaning as i would gnaw my right arm off i could have what they have. B***es!

I hear ya Omi... for awhile just the pregnant girls at work would go out for lunch so they could talk all about it... no one else was invited. I was hurt by that, BUT at least I didn't have to hear about it!

A few girls at my work know about my mc and after that they just stopped asking me what my plans are, making little cracks like, "So what about you...?" It made things strangely easier.

So rant away, I say!!

Morning everyone

So work today is a bit rubbish. My AF is here today and just found out from someone his wife is PG which is actually fab news esp as I heard they were ttc for ages.
Its the guy I sit with who pissed me off...his wife is expecting and he said 'wow its a baby boom'...no idiot 2 people doesn't make a baby boom!
