So it seems the consensus is that rib pain is common in the third trimester. Does anyone have any remedies for it though? Tylenol doesn't help me at all. Changing my posture doesn't help it. My job requires that I sit at a desk all day long so I'm limited in terms of how I can position my body. Nothing helps and, meanwhile, I am in so much pain. I seriously feel like crying right now because it's going to feel like this all day long, just like it did yesterday. I won't get any relief until i'm home laying down, which isn't until another 8 hours.

Anyone have any suggestions? Please?!

Upward stretches, heat compresses, and hot water from shower seemed to help me. It went away when she started engaging

I have been getting this lately. It seems to come and go but when I have it, IT HURTS! Is it OK to use hot compresses? I was told no heating pad on my stomach obviously but am not sure about higher up on my ribs. I'm hoping there will be more posts to this as I am curious as to what other ladies are doing for relief. Thanks.

I'm having this too atm really bad, only my right side but its constant and so painful! I could cry all day too its that bad! I'm in the same boat with work aswell, I dont know if I can cope much longer. Hope you find a remedy soon that helps you, but unfortunately I think its just one of those things that comes with being pregnant xxx

i found with ds2 ( he was uber long and jammed up in my ribs for weeks ) that sitting on a ball instead of a normal chair allowed him to settle more into my pelvis and get out of my ribs and spending a few min on all fours every so often helped too
