In January I'll be going back to work and my husband will be staying home with the baby. I plan to pump and while some babies will take cold milk, I'm sure there are lots that won't. I know that a pot with water in it can also heat a bottle (particularly since we have glass and not plastic), but it leaves me wondering how well bottle warmers work. I imagine they would either take a long time or not heat well, but what do I know? I think if it's good at not overheating it, it would make things easier for my husband. What do you all think?

I used an Avent one at night when LO was small to save me going down stairs during the night. Worked a treat in about 3 -5 minutes. Though you could easily overheat it. Maybe work out how long it needs to be heated for and he can time it?

Tommy tippee is about 2 mins, thats what we have. Only used it a few times though

I have a tommee tippee one takes about 6-7 minutes to get it to a decent tempreture straight from the fridge. Quicker from room temp x

Lindam Night & Day heater took a couple of minutes.

I found the Tommy Tippee one took ages. It was quicker to boil the kettle & put in a jug.

I had one with my first. It's just the same as putting it in a bowl of hot water except it takes longer.pointless imo except possibly at night to avoid going downstairs. My first dropped night feeds mega early though so didn't use it then.

I had the Tommee tippee one and didn't get on with it and it ended up spluttering hot water everywhere. I now have the dr browns one and really like it - takes 3mins from room temp.

As much as i hate everything else tommee tippee, the bottle warmer is excellent!!! We have 2, one upstairs and one downstairs. Think we bought them for a tenner each at tk maxx :)
