How would this make you feel?

My kids have accounts set up for them, by me and by my mum. My dad has also talked about setting up an account for them.

It didn't bother me as its what my grandparents did for me when I was younger. I got it when I was 18.

I think that if family want to give money to your children and save it up over years and give it to them on their 18, who are we to tell them not? I mean, if someone gave you money for your birthday when you were a kid, surely your parents didn't stop them and say 'oh, I don't think they are ready?'.

18 is a 'coming of age' and when you become an adult - I don't think its my place to tell an adult what they can and can't have, regardless of whether or not they are my children :shrug: if its drugs, then IMO thats a different matter. And I know I wouldn't be entirely happy if they just blew it, but still, it would be their money?
