Thinking forward to the magical land of :bfp: i'm sitting here imagining how i'd tell my hubby, i'm sure when the time comes i'll just come stumbling out the bathroom with my knickers round my ankles screaming incoherently, but for now i'm trying to think of fun ways to tell him :D

Like, having a pink and a blue dummy/blankie/onesie etc in a bag with a note and the positive test saying "which one do you think we'll need?"

Or like, putting the test somewhere and then telling him "go see what the cat DID on the bed!" and stuff like that :D

Anyone got any fun ideas to share ?

I saw a cute onesie with qoute saying "daddy's little wingman". My husband flies for a living so think it would be special to him.

No idea, but I do like the idea of buying something baby related and giving it to him to break the news, or maybe a funny onesie related to one of OH's hobbies. Or "I'm going to be a big brother" shirts for the dogs...hehehe.

I saw a cute thing on Casualty or Holby City (can't remember which one as I watch neither but it was just on).

The woman gave her partner a watch box as a present and instead of a watch there was a :bfp:!! So cute!!

I would want to test alone so that I can know the results and get over them slightly first.....I like to cry alone....but if it was positive I too would probably just run out with screaming!!

My plan for telling the masses would be to do something I saw on pinterest where there was a dog and he was wearing a notice round his neck saying 'Im going to be a big brother'!!

Our dog is like our baby at the moment so we would have to do that!!

Not sure how I would break it to my Mum, would like it to be some cute suprise, but I would probably just be so happy that she would be able to read it all over me instantly and we would both just burst into tears!!! Can't wait for that moment!! Got to have OH to film it.

Not sure how we would break it to OH's parents....I think they might be less pleased for us as they think we are too young (TTC at age 24).....I disagree with them!

i love things like this! although i KNOW when it comes to it I will tell OH the minute i get that BFP i would love to have the patience to do something like this!
i would love to like write him a card saying daddy with a dummy attached as a present or something.. or like watch a film about pregnancy and casually drop in that that will be us in 9 months! :D

Ive thought about this and think its going to involve one of our fur babies, one of our dogs. Was thinking of tucking preg test in dogs collar and sending them in to DH saying that they have something for him :)

Whit my first baby we were together and couldn't believe it so we took 3. LOL but with my second baby DD was only 6 months when I went to his work and showed him the test in my purse and took the other one in the two pack in the bathroom at the casino he worked =).....funniest part is my dad and I got off two different elevators at the same time, my stomach was in my stomach when I saw him...

I just hope my hubby isn't working away when I find out, I wouldn't want to tell him over Skype and I would be sooooo impatient! When he does fly home though I always meet him in a hotel near the airport and we have a day in the city before going home, it's always really special and cute so I'd love to tell him then!

Oh I have been planning this for years all ready!!!

For OH I am going to get a onsie with the name of his college on it and give it to him. I don't know how I am going to make myself not tell him right away when I get I positive test, but i really want to surprise him. I will also probably put a picture of the positive test in there also.

For our parents I really want to go out for chinese food and then instead of the usual fortune cookies have them bring our own personalized fortune cookies that when you open them have a paper saying that we are pregnant.

I am going to have a hard time with this also. My husband lives 15 hours away right now. I am really hoping that I either he will be down for a weekend or I will be able to surprise him by flying up when we find out.

My DD was a surprise and I found out on my and DH's firts anniversary. He was in Jordan at the time working and I had to skype him. I firts asked how he felt emotionally, did he eat, is he sitting, is he flying the next day etc and when assured that everything is fine I sent him the test picture. He just asked with a very daft nervous chuckle "what is this?" Haha

Flying to tell him the news would be such a cool surprise!

Oh man, when the time comes I don't know that I'll have the patience to wait and plan something to tell him... It would be nice to though! Some great ideas on here ladies :)

Yeah, I have two ways I think it would go if I can manage to keep from telling him long enough to do it.

1. If I can swing it and get away I want to surprise him by flying up there.
2. If I can't do that because of my school schedule, I will tell him that I'm really stressed and really need him to fly down for the weekend.

We always have the next trip scheduled so I will know when he will be coming down again. So it also depends on that. He expects me to tell him right away when I find out but I really want to surprise him.

I want to get something nice for OH but not sure of what yet...

With the parents Im waiting till had a scan then will frame them as a gift...

With my first baby, I was in SUCH shock, that I told him over the phone...(not ideal)... just couldn't believe it! (It was only 2 months after we were married).
With our 2nd baby, he was there when I took the test. Happy time for us of course, but not exactly how I envisioned telling him.
So we are WTT for #3, starting in November, and I am in the midst of thinking up ideas. I don't really want to be cheesy about it...so I've been looking on Pinterest. Still no luck. So anyone have ideas?

A good one I had come across before getting our BFP was to fill one of DH's wardrobe drawers with nappies and leave a note saying "Hi Daddy... Make room, I'm moving in!" Of course, in the excitement of it all when the time actually came I text him in work to tell him I had an early Christmas present for him (few days before Christmas) and when he came home had my hands behind my back and asked him to pick a hand for his present and I had the positive test in one :)

im waiting to try in November too... Im worried about being cheesy too.. I want something sweet and like a keep sake... I was thinking keyring but not sure what to say! X

OP, I think that's how I'm gonna be. I'd say I'm probably gonna test with him there and when we'll either look at the result together, or I'll look at it, and start crying and just shove it in his face. :haha:

Il probably just throw the test at him or he's a snapchat addict so I might snapchat him a picture of the test.
